Department: Marketing & Creative

About Roxanne Assoulin

Roxanne Assoulin (RA) is a jewelry and lifestyle brand built on joy, simplicity, and a signature sense of play. Founded in New York, RA creates pieces that feel like sunshine — colorful, accessible, expressive, and rooted in a love for design. We are a fast-growing brand with a collaborative, hands-on culture and a shared commitment to building something special, together.

The Role

We’re seeking a Social Media Editor with 5+ years of experience to lead the editorial direction of our social platforms. This role sits at the heart of the brand’s voice and visual storytelling — developing concepts, curating content, shaping narrative direction, and bringing our creative world to life across Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest.

The ideal candidate is equal parts creative and strategic: someone who understands fashion, culture, and the internet; has a strong editorial POV; and can confidently capture scrappy iPhone content while also editing, writing, and publishing with intention. This role reports to the Director of Marketing and partners closely with the Founder & Creative Director.

Responsibilities

Editorial Direction & Brand Voice

  • Own the brand’s tone, copy, and storytelling across all social channels

  • Write captions and social copy that reflect RA’s voice (playful, warm, human)

  • Guard brand consistency and elevate creative standards across every post

  • Translate brand priorities into compelling narratives, visually and verbally

  • Develop social-first concepts for product launches and brand moments

Content Creation & Curation

  • Capture and edit short-form content (Reels/TikTok) with a strong visual POV

  • Plan and produce scrappy, native content that feels real and unpolished-in-the-right-way

  • Curate UGC and brand-adjacent content that aligns with RA’s world

  • Assist on content capture days and photoshoots; manage shot lists + BTS capture

  • Maintain a daily/weekly content calendar aligned to launches, stories, and seasonal priorities

Publishing & Engagement

  • Publish content directly and ensure quality control across platforms

  • Monitor community engagement and surface themes/opportunities to the team

  • Identify relevant trends, audio, formats, and creative references; adapt them to RA

Insights & Collaboration

  • Track weekly performance and content learnings; share insights with Marketing + E-Comm

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support storytelling for retail, wholesale, CX, and brand initiatives

  • Partner with the Founder & Creative Director to explore new creative directions

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of professional experience in social media, editorial, content, or digital storytelling

  • Fashion, jewelry, beauty, lifestyle, or editorial background strongly preferred

  • A strong editor — visually and verbally — with a point of view and taste level

  • Proficient in iPhone content creation, Reels/TikTok editing tools (CapCut preferred)

  • Culturally plugged in; understands internet trends without chasing them

  • Proactive communicator; thrives in a fast-moving, founder-led environment

  • Organized, collaborative, solutions-oriented, and steady under pressure

  • Hands-on — no job is too big or small; you’re willing to jump in

Tools & Platforms

  • Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest

  • CapCut, Canva (Adobe Suite is a plus)

  • Later/Planoly or similar scheduling tools

  • Google Workspace + Slack

  • Shopify familiarity helpful but not required

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • Clear and consistent brand storytelling across platforms

  • Increased engagement, saves, and social-led traffic

  • Content that supports product storytelling and business priorities

  • Strong collaborative flow with Marketing, E-Com, and Creative

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $90,000–$110,000 (commensurate with experience)

  • Employee product discount

  • Growth opportunities within a scaling team
