Founded in Los Angeles in 2016, Kosas is Makeup for Skincare Freaks. A pioneer in the clean beauty space, our mission is to evolve the industry’s mindset toward revealing, expressing, and feeling comfy in your skin. It’s good makeup (not no makeup) that’s quick, easy, can’t mess it up—we call it “comfy glam.” Clinically proven to make your skin better, even when it’s bare. 

Kosas centers around a “100% makeup, 100% skincare” philosophy. Since makeup sits on our skin all day, it’s such a huge opportunity to continue your skincare routine. So we only formulate with super nourishing ingredients at active levels that bring real skincare benefits.

Our first 4 lipsticks were created in a portrait painting class, and we mix all Kosas color with the same thoughtful precision and unique dimensional shades found in art. Our collection now spans across makeup, skincare, suncare, and bodycare—filled with celeb-approved, award-winning, viral TikTok favs. 

Kosas is named for the five Koshas (or layers) of the self from Vedic philosophy. It’s the idea that our physical appearance is a manifestation of who we truly are on the inside. At our core, we believe that beauty is a feeling. It's about finding what makes you feel good and celebrating ourselves through makeup.
