Susanna Lau
Founder, Style Bubble
Her thoughtful, informed commentary and eclectic personal style have made her a well-respected fashion blogger and reporter.

“Saying ‘I don’t need a publication to anchor onto, I have a publication essentially,’ was a big thing for me,” Lau said to BoF about her blog Style Bubble back in January 2011. It consists of her widely read thoughts, personal experiences and observations on fashion, with a focus on spotlighting young and unknown talent. Lau worked full-time on her blog before turning her focus to Instagram in 2018. She works on other freelance projects, including writing for The Business of Fashion , Elle, The Daily Rubbish and Dazed Digital.
“In my second year at Dazed, I was turning down all these different projects that could have been money spinners and I just couldn’t commit myself to them, because I was working 12 hours a day,” said Lau. In March of 2010, she left her position as commissioning editor of DazedDigital.com to concentrate on her blog and pursue the unexploited economic opportunities it was generating.
Lau has been featured in W, Vogue UK, Vogue Japan, Elle US, 10 China and many more publications.
With projects for Coach, Dr Martens, Giorgio Armani , Selfridges and Hong Kong boutique Joyce, Lau appears to be extremely busy. “There are limitless opportunities; it’s been sort of nonstop.” Indeed, alternative revenue streams for her include advertising campaigns (the Gap) and other special projects.
“If there was a whole team behind it, I think something would be taken away,” she said. “I’m not outputting solutions, I’m outputting myself,” she said. “I don’t think it can be larger than me — it’s as large as I am.”
In 2013, she joined NowManifest, a network of style bloggers owned by Condé Nast that includes Bryanboy, Style by Kling and Fashion Toast.
