Born in Tampa, Florida in 1998, Doechii began releasing music in 2016, earning early recognition for her raw lyrics and experimental production. Her second mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal (August 2024), was a breakout success that garnered critical acclaim for deft raps that displayed both a sense of vulnerability and empowerment. Her Grammy’s performance — featuring four custom Thom Browne looks — was a widely praised fashion moment that underscored her attention to visual storytelling.
Doechii’s fashion presence has expanded quickly. She was a front-row fixture during Paris Fashion Week in 2025, attending shows for Schiaparelli, Valentino at the Louvre, Acne Studios, Chloé, and Tom Ford. At the 2025 Met Gala, themed “Tailoring Black Style,” she wore a custom Louis Vuitton suiting designed by Pharrell Williams — combining elegance with a clear point of view.
