As a Visual Commercial Manager, you are responsible for leading and delivering the store's visual and commercial strategy to support sales performance and brand presentation. You will manage visual merchandising execution, commercial priorities, and team capability to ensure the store reflects company standards, seasonal direction, and local market needs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver the store's visual merchandising and commercial strategy in line with company guidelines, seasonal direction, and store objectives.
- Plan, manage, and execute daily, weekly, and seasonal visual and commercial activities to maximise product performance and customer engagement.
- Manage and support visual merchandising standards across the store, including layouts, mannequins, in-store props, and product presentation.
- Analyse sales data, product performance, and commercial information to inform visual decisions and drive results.
- Monitor product levels and communicate commercial and product needs to senior management in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with the Operational Manager to ensure best practice RFID implementation and compliance.
- Oversee stockroom organisation, deliveries, and stock preparation to support efficient replenishment and visual execution on the shop floor.
- Ensure visual and commercial execution aligns with company policies, procedures, and brand standards, including product processes and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular briefings and provide updates to management and relevant stakeholders on visual priorities and commercial performance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fashion trends, products, promotions, and competitor activity to support commercial decision-making.
- Provide leadership, training, and ongoing support to visual merchandisers and commercial team members within the store.
- Identify and develop talent within the team, supporting succession planning and capability development.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and proactively manage risks within the store environment.
- Complete operational reporting, analysis, and documentation to support business decision-making.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture aligned with company values.
- Diploma-level qualification with at least two years of relevant work experience, or a minimum of three years' relevant experience in visual merchandising or commercial retail management.
- Proven experience leading visual merchandising and commercial execution in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to analyse sales data and translate insights into effective visual strategies.
- Demonstrated experience managing visual standards, layouts, and seasonal implementations in line with brand guidelines.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience coaching, developing, and supporting team members in visual or commercial roles.
- Commitment to operational excellence, customer experience, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Availability to work full-time (38 hours per week) on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
